In August 2010 was 9.713 mln leks commodities exported, with 27.9 per cent decrease compared to July 2010 and increased by 35.9 percent compared with August 2009.
Were imported 40.304 million leks commodities 9.4 percent decrease compared to July 2010 and increased 19.5 percent compared with August 2009.
This month the trade deficit was 30.591 million lek, marking a decline of 1.4 percent compared with the previous month and an increase of 15.1 percent compared with August 2009. Trade with EU countries is 62.8 percent. Main trading partners remain Italy and Greece. In Italy the export is 47.2 percent and imports 26.6 percent, while Greece, the export is 6.5 percent and import 12.5 percent.
Some of our trading partners who export and import is increased are: in exports, Russia, Slovenia, Serbia, Switzerland, USA, etc., and in imports, Austria, Greece, Kosovo, Turkey, Switzerland, etc..
Comparison with the previous month of some group commodities shows that:
Exports of "Minerals, fuels, electricity" increased 12 percent. Exports of "Leather and articles thereof" decreased 74.6 percent, "Machinery, equipment and spare parts" decreased 43.2 percent, etc.
Import of "Minerals, fuels, electricity" increased 19.9 percent, "Food, beverages and tobacco" rose 8.4 percent. Import of "Leather and articles thereof" decreased 56.3 percent, etc. Source: Statistics Office
