Great for news for Albania and great news for Italy. I firmly think that once again, countries are acknowledging the importance of Albania. The Albania Property market and investments in general will be helped by the huge extra income produced from deals such as this. Here is the news in full :
Albania signed two deals worth more than 2 billion euros ($2.53 billion) on Tuesday with Italian companies to produce power and export it to Italy in a move to ease its chronic shortages and help Italy cope with its power deficit.
Italy's Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Albania's Prime Minister Sali Berisha watched as two of the biggest deals were signed in what marks a revival of cooperation between Albania and Italy.

Nov 28th - Albania's parliament has passed the country's 2009 budget to back 6 percent growth to cope with the impact of the global economic crisis.
Prime Minister Sali Berisha said the budget would help macroeconomic stability and the building of the biggest roads in the ex-communist Balkan nation's history.
Albania has cut its budget deficit from 5.2 percent to 4.2 percent instead of 3.5 percent
"This budget is the result of Albania's economic boom," Berisha said.
We feel the above comments are important for the confidence in Albania Investments and in particular those looking for Albanian Properties.

Albania Estate sales are steady however and we feel that the selling rate will now remain stable for the immediate future. Some reasons and thoughts are ..........

Nov 17-

This is mainly because, a new independent oil report release by Manas Petroleum, estimates the value of its unproven Albania oil discovery to be as much as $11.9 billion (€9.3 billion).
Manas has been awarded a contract by the Albanian government to explore the north of the country for oil and gas reserves.
According to their findings, the unproven reserve holds up to 2.987 billion barrels of oil and 3.014 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Richard Bannister

11/11 Further Airports within Albania, especially near Saranda, would be great news for investors and tourism. It would seem that the government realise the importance of this and have taken the necessary action. With our office in Saranda, we believe the area will benefit hugely the investors wishing to rent their property, all year round.
This is what the news agency as said -
The Albanian Government declared that it had agreed with Tirana Airport Partners, (TAP), to compensate its losses and to liberalize international commercial flights in Albania.
In recent months, several foreign investors have expressed their intention to build a new airport in the south of Albania, to offer cheaper flights for touristic purposes.
